Free Scrapbooking Layout Ideas For The Event Album or Memory Album
Friday, March 16th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedSometimes it seems that the idea of an album for a special event such as a silver wedding anniversary party or a 50th birthday party can be very difficult to complete in a given time because so many people take photos and say they will send them to you. Of course people have so many things to do in their life that it often takes a long time to actually get around to sending the copies to you. This can be very frustrating but as scrapbookers we sometimes have to deal with situations like this in order to come up with a great scrapbook idea layout.
A Time Saving Scrapbook Layout Idea
It may seem like it takes an eternity to complete an event album but imagine if you could just use a mini album for each event. Think how long it would take with a full size album and that will be reason enough to stick to a mini album. Mini Albums come in 9 inches by 9 inches or 6 inches by 6 inches. These are a great scrapbooking idea for gifts and will obviously be quicker to scrapbook than a larger one.
A Work In Progress
One thing to remember is that you can still enjoy an album with only some of the pages completed. As friends send those important photos you can just complete them one page at a time and add them to the album. You can let everyone know that this is a scrapbooking layout idea that you came up with to create an ongoing story and you will update them as it grows. In this way you can spend many enjoyable times showing off the latest pages.
Keep It Small and Focused
One more thing to remember is that the albums you make do not have to be large in numbers of pages. For a great gift idea you can make several albums with only six to eight pages in each. A great scrapbooking idea is to make gifts for several people with the same photos and themes. This is especially useful when everyone was at the same event and it is much easier and faster to do the same page a few times over than to re-create each page. You can always add individual touches to each copy of a page.
Family Memories
If your family gets together for Christams every year you could use a mini event album to capture all the great moments of that celebration. Don’t tell them about your scrapbooking idea so you can get losts of candid shots without them posing. Now take a mini album for each person and use some great patterned christmas paper with co-ordinating card stock. Put your shots of the family and some of each person in their book. Keep it simple but use different embellishments that suit the person. Do it in January so that it is all fresh in your head and make sure you do a little journalling on each page. Include special recipes, favorite gifts, cute stories etc. Now you have next years christmas gifts ready to go. Now that is a great scrapbooking layout idea!
